Yes. In many cases, old permanent makeup can be successfully corrected, but every situation is unique. The best approach depends on the existing pigment, its color, depth, saturation, and the condition of your skin.
Sometimes a beautiful correction can be achieved by carefully adjusting the shape and color with new pigment. In other cases, I may recommend lightening or removing the old pigment first. While many clients hope their old permanent makeup can simply be covered, this is not always the best solution. Removing or lightening unwanted pigment first often allows me to create a much softer, more natural, and longer-lasting result.
With over 13 years of experience in permanent makeup correction, I always evaluate each client individually. My goal is not simply to cover old permanent makeup, but to create a result that looks balanced, natural, and harmonious with your facial features.
